Three days to breathe, pray, and explore

Beyond the World Youth Day week we've built in time to experience Korea itself — staying in hotels, at a slower pace. We'll visit Seoul's great churches, cathedrals, and martyrs' shrines, and leave room for the city itself: its food, its markets, and the culture of a nation where the faith was first carried and kept by lay people, long before any missionary arrived.

Please read: where we stay during World Youth Day

World Youth Day is a pilgrimage, not a hotel vacation — and that is exactly what makes it affordable.

August 3–8 (the WYD week): pilgrims stay in group accommodations arranged by the World Youth Day organizers — typically parish halls, school gymnasiums, or similar community facilities, shared with pilgrims from around the world. That means:

  • Floor sleeping — you'll bring your own sleeping bag and mat
  • Shared restrooms, with limited shower access
  • Communal, dormitory-style space
  • Likely no air conditioning — Seoul in August is hot and humid

August 1–2 and August 9–10: comfortable hotels.

This is the same experience millions of young pilgrims have shared at every World Youth Day — and it is the reason we can offer this pilgrimage at an estimated $4,000–$5,500 including airfare, well below typical agency pricing. This range is an estimate: final pricing will be confirmed once flights and ground costs are locked in, and it may come in lower or higher than the range shown.
